A print of the lost church of St Johns, Llanwddyn, Montgomeryshire, Powys.
In the 1880s, the original village was submerged to create the reservoir now known as Lake Vyrnwy. A whole community displaced, homes and histories resting beneath the water — another poignant reminder of how progress can come at a very human cost.
The original painting is ink drawn first then painted using top quality watercolour on A4 Archers 100% cotton cold press paper.
